Q: How Much Does It Cost To Stay at Harmony House?
A: At the present time, daily rates are determined by how much help and care an individual requires. Much like a nursing home, the rates are classified by "Case Mix" levels. Each level of care is assigned a letter starting with "A" and descending to "I". Level "A" is for the most independent resident, while level "I" is for the resident who needs the most assistance.
Q: Will Medicare or Nursing Home Insurance Cover Any Part of This Cost?
A: No, not at this time. Harmony House is not considered a "skilled nursing facility". However, if an individual's private pay assets and funds are $10,000 or less, they may qualify for financial assistance and can be eligible for alternative funds to cover some or most of their cost of care.
Note: If you have Long Term Care Insurance, speak with your agent for services that may be covered.
Q: What Payment Sources Cover The Cost of Care at Harmony House?
Private funds, Elderly Waiver or Alternative Care Grant funds are the primary sources used to pay for the daily cost of care. Each home's manager can explain the payment options available in more detail:
Q: Will Medical Assistance Cover The Cost of Care at Harmony House?
A: Medical Assistance will cover medical costs, medications and some supplies. If a person is eligible for Medical Assistance, their cost of care could be covered by the Elderly Waiver program. See previous paragraph for more information.
